We support

Can you think of a better source of goodness and a stronger pillar of positive values for both society as a whole and individuals than culture? We can’t. That’s why we selflessly support culture and its heritage.

Trnavská hudobná spoločnosť, civic association

Trnavská hudobná spoločnosť, o.z., is an association of musical personalities and enthusiasts devoted to both the active and passive forms of musical life. Its mission is to preserve the intangible cultural heritage of the region, promote and support minority music genres through educational initiatives, and enrich the cultural life and leisure activities of the residents of Trnava and its surroundings by organizing musical events. Culture brings goodness to our society and enriches the everyday lives of individuals. That is why supporting culture is our priority.

We especially want to highlight the DOBROFEST festival, whose first edition took place in 1992 and in the following years significantly contributed to raising the profile of Trnava and Slovakia as a whole on the international music scene. This festival is dedicated to the resonator guitar – the dobro – and honors its inventor, Slovak native Ján/John Dopyera (1893–1988), who grew up in Dolná Krupá near Trnava. As a supporter of this extraordinary event, which is historically tied to the city of Trnava and this unique musical instrument, we invite all music and culture enthusiasts to enjoy truly high-quality music at the DOBROFEST festival, which is organized annually by THS, and we are always part of it.

Our law firm provides pro bono comprehensive legal services to Trnavská hudobná spoločnosť in matters related to organizing international music festivals and registering trademarks. Our legal support primarily focuses on ensuring compliance with public law requirements for organizing public cultural events, advising on obtaining user rights to public spaces for hosting music concerts, assisting with copyright royalties for performing artists, facilitating the conclusion of collective licensing agreements with collective management organizations (e.g. SOZA).

Free legal advice for the general public

For several years, the Slovak Bar Association (SAK) has been commemorating the Day of Advocacy, which is linked to the date 27 April, 1990. On that day, the parliament passed Act No. 132/1990 Coll. on Advocacy, which established the Slovak Bar Association as an independent professional organization uniting attorneys.

The provision of free legal assistance in several cities across Slovakia is also a regular part of this day. In Trnava, members of our law firm actively participate in this event. So far, dozens of people have taken advantage of this free legal aid, seeking advice in various areas of law: primarily in family, employment, or consumer matters, or in matters concerning real estate. We see great value in this service, especially for citizens who need legal assistance in certain life situations but, for some reason, do not visit a law firm. This gives them the opportunity to consult their problem with an attorney informally and establish the first contact.
